„Ninja“ / „Babo“, digital photographs in offset print Fotografien im Offsetdruck

Mirza Kahriman and Katharina Paulweber

Four works side by side telling a common story.

In the photographs of Mirza Kahriman and Katharina Paulweber covers are held, covers with which man surrounds himself and with whom he adorns himself. So it is also recorded, how details, accessories and things show who someone is, what is important to him and how he wants to be seen.

They are small and big symbols full of valences. This focus on details becomes possible, if not enforced, because the person is absent or obscured in the two photos. They are the ones who finally connect the two photos, complement each other and make a story between them.

However, in this work, the photographs are not left solely to the gaze of the visitors - they can be taken along. The snapshots are returned in this way to the place where they were created - the public.
